Prek-1st grade camp

Throw Me Something Itinerary:  PreK-1st Grade

 

A day of Clay  Tuesday

8:20-8:45 kids arrive:  Free draw

8:45-9:00  Circle time:  Talk about clay and how to use it.

Centers:  9:00-11:15  There will be a snack break at 10:15-10:30

Center 1:  Clay pots:  Kids will glaze clay pots.  The colors will be explained to them, and we will talk about how the glaze changes colors in the kiln.

Center 2:  Plant markers:  The kids will create markers for their plants.  This will be made out of clay and they will underglaze their art.

Center 3:  Watercolor fun!

11:30:  Kids are picked up

 

Wednesday

8:20-8:45 kids arrive:  Free draw

8:45-9:00  Circle time:  We will talk about Andy Warhol and the colors he used.  11×14 canvas.

Centers:  9:00-11:15  There will be a snack break at 10:15-10:30

Paint your own pottery:  Tiny Tots

Andy Warhol hands:  Trace and start to paint hands on canvas.  ( For returning artists, we will supplement with another activity.)  It’s one of my favorites!

Thursday:  Who is Van Gogh?
